Gallant Capital Sells Aero Turbine to StandardAero

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Gallant Capital Partners (“Gallant”), a Los Angeles-based investment firm, announced the sale of Aero Turbine, Inc (“Aero Turbine” or “the Company”) to StandardAero, a portfolio company of Carlyle. Aero Turbine is a comprehensive provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services and consultative repair solutions for military engines and accessories. Founded in 1978, the Company was acquired by Gallant in 2019.

Gallant partnered with Aero Turbine’s founder, Doug Clayton, and its CEO, Jim Simpkins, to transform the business into an industry leading defense MRO. The successful implementation of Gallant’s value creation playbook, OTX^TM, allowed Aero Turbine to dramatically increase its capacity and capabilities, in order to expand its addressable market, and achieve significant revenue growth.

Lincoln International advised Gallant and Aero Turbine on the transaction and Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth served as legal counsel. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
